An officer was behind a vehicle which had stopped for a steady red light. After turning green, the car failed to move for around 30 seconds. After the vehicle began to move, the vehicle failed to use a turn signal while in a turning lane. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver and sole occupant. The driver was ID’d as a 42-year-old man. While speaking with the man, the officer could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the man’s breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and charges are pending lab testing.
March 17
Arrest
Officers were called to a business on Lincoln Highway for the report of a theft. During the investigation, it was found that one of the people on scene was wanted by the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office. A 33-year-old man was detained and the warrant was confirmed by Philadelphia. The man was taken back to Penndel Borough police where he was placed into a secure room until the sheriff’s deputies could come and take him back to Philadelphia.ย

Arrests
Two 19-year-old men surrenderedย to officers in the station on outstanding arrest warrants. The men’s arrest warrants were from an incident in Penndel Borough on October 3, 2020. The men were taken in to custody without incident. After an hearing in front of a judge, the men was sent to Bucks County prison.ย
