Bucks County’s rate of new COVID-19 cases remained stable last week.
According to state health department data, 1,027 positive cases were reported in the county last week, a very slight increase over the previous week.

Since the start of the year, the county has seen a roughly 62 percent decrease in cases.
The COVID-19 test positivity rate in Bucks County slightly increased last week from 6.3 percent to 6.7 percent. Health experts have said positivy rates higher than 5 percent are concerning.
Ten Bucks Countians with COVID-19 were reported dead last week, a decrease of three over the previous week.

Hospitalizations remained almost uncharged over the previous week. Through the end of last week, there were 62 patients with COVID-19 in hospitals, with 15 of them in intensive care and nine on ventilators.
Since the pandemic began locally slightly more than a year ago, Bucks County has seen 47,280 COVID-19 cases and 1,155 deaths as of Monday.

Ways residents can help reduce the spread of COVID-19:
- Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
- Wear a mask properly when in a business or where it is difficult to maintain proper social distancing.
- Cover any coughs or sneezes with your elbow, not your hands.
- Clean surfaces frequently.
- Stay home to avoid spreading COVID-19, especially if you are unwell.
