A series of interesting social media posts about Bucks County’s history have led to a pair of free presentation.

Last year as activities were cancelled and businesses closed due to the pandemic, Bucks County Recorder of Deeds Robin Robinson had the idea to start posting a series of historic facts about Bucks County communities.

With the recorder of deeds office having plenty of historic documents, Robinson’s office began sharing “Did You Know…” on its social media posts. Staff and the public worked with Robinson to share over 60 stories about locations and people that are important to Bucks County.

The popularity of posts have led to free virtual presentations scheduled for Tuesday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. and the second on Thursday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m.

โ€œThere is so much history in this county that a lot of people do not know about it.ย Being a transplant from California, I certainly did not.ย I just thought that it would be great to share some of this history with the public, especially during this stressful time,” Robinson said.ย “I hope that the public continues to enjoy this social media series for years to come.”

Residents interested in taking part in the presentations can RSVP to Nicole Douglas at nmdouglas@buckscounty.org by Friday, March 19.
