A Levittown man pleaded guilty to stabbing a woman in Bristol Borough last June.

Denis Chirskoy, 27, agreed to a negotiated plea last month that saw him admit to aggravated assault. He was sentenced by Bucks County Judge Jeffrey Finley to two to five years in state prison with credit for 209 days spent locked up at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

The judge ordered Chirskoy to not have contact with the victim, continuation of mental health treatment, and a treatment plan in place before parole, according to a case docket.

On Saturday, June 13, 2020, Bristol Borough police responded to the 700 block of Corson Street around 5:50 a.m. for a report of a stabbing, authorities said.

A 41-year-old woman was found in an apartment with a stab wound to her stomach.

The woman was rushed to the hospital and survived the attack, authorities said.

An officer located Chirskoy not far away with a bloody wound from a knife on hand.
