A standoff in Levittown ended peacefully Sunday night.
The incident started Sunday evening on Myrtle Lane in Bristol Township’s Levittown section near Mallow Lane.

Lt. Ralph Johnson said a 34-year-old man started showing signs of paranoia and a family member called police. The family member was removed for their safety and the man barricaded himself in the home.
Tactical officers and snipers from the Bensalem Township, Bristol Township, and Falls Township police departments surrounded the home. An armored truck was at the scene but not brought up to the house where standoff was taking place.
About 10:30 p.m., the man police were engaging with during the standoff came outside and was taken into custody. Johnson said the man willingly came out of the home and he was taken for treatment.

Police staged at the Walgreen’s at New Falls Road and Levittown Parkway. Command trucks were parked along Magnolia Drive.
