The Middletown Community Foundation’s Woof-A-Palooza Let’s Be Safe Edition – Race At Your Own Pace is underway and there’s still plenty of time to register. Funds raised through the volunteer-run nonprofit organization’s virtual race will benefit the Middletown Township Police Department’s K-9 unit’s effort to purchase and outfit a new K-9 officer and the Park and Recreation Department’s Summer Recreation program.
Woof-A-Palooza Race At Your Pace offers a variety of personal virtual challenges with a wide range of distance goals that can all be accomplished by tracking your accomplishments virtually. Simply choose your goal, get moving, and record your distances on the race website. Take until January 31 to accumulate miles and submit them to us.
Racers Participants can accumulate miles equivalent to run a sprint of 16 miles, a marathon of 26.2 miles, the triathalon of 31.93 miles, and the half ironman of 70.3 miles. Or, accumulate miles at your own pace. Just get moving!

Middletown Community Foundation Race Committee Chair, Diane Loomis, encourages racers and walkers to get friends, family, and co-workers to pledge to support them.
“While we wish we could be racing together in person, we’re thrilled to offer a new take on Woof-A-Palooza,” Loomis said.
