The Levittown area’s three state representatives were sworn in Tuesday in Harrisburg.
Due to COVID-19, the swearing in was a bit different than in past years, but the lawmakers – all three local incumbents who kept their seats in the November election – took the oath.

State Rep. Tina Davis, a Democrat from Bristol Township, said she will focus her term on economic development and opportunity, job creation, pay equity, property tax reform, and programs assisting families, seniors and veterans. Davis, who is entering her sixth term, will be serving her first term as secretary of the House Democratic Caucus.
“I am honored that the residents of the 141st District have once again chosen me to be their advocate in Harrisburg,” Davis said. “I will use my extensive legislative experience working across the aisle to achieve the bipartisan solutions needed to address the unprecedented crisis posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. My time in the House has taught me that when the legislature comes together to tackle a problem, all Pennsylvanians benefit.”

The 141st Legislative District covers all of Hulmeville Borough and Penndel Borough and parts of Bristol Township and Middletown Township.

Yesterday I was sworn in to serve as the State Representative for the 142nd House District. Thank you to the voters for your support and I very much appreciate the efforts of everyone that volunteered, contributed and/or put up a yard sign. As a lifelong resident of our community it is a great honor to again represent you in Harrisburg.
This year, the swearing-in ceremony was conducted in groups to limit the number of people on the House Floor. Our families were not allowed to join us on the floor, however I was able to schedule a few private minutes to take my family to the floor for some quick photos … I appreciate my family’s understanding of the demands of this job and the support they provide me.
Our swearing-in was overshadowed by the sudden passing this weekend of my colleague and friend Mike Reese. Mike was a good and honest man and our thoughts are with Mike’s family.
Wishing for a healthy and prosperous 2021 for everyone.

The 142nd Legislative District covers all of Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor Borough, Lower Southampton, and Upper Southampton along with a large chunk of Middletown Township.

Galloway, the minority chair of the House Commerce Committee, said he will direct his focus on economic development and job creation; COVID-19 relief; increasing mental health and addiction resources; improving education; and creating infrastructure for clean water in his new term.
