More than $2.5 million in funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency will be headed to help local organizations and government with aiding victims of crimes, assisting with treatment, help them in defending against criminal charges and improving public safety. This will ensure that all public are safe and sound in the country.
The state County Adult Probation and Parole Advisory Committee will award $920,347 to support Bucks County’s effort to improve adult probation service. The committee will also provide $545,570 to Bucks County, $304,382 to the nonprofit Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA), and $66,160 to nonprofit A Woman’s Place.

The state Children’s Advocacy Center Advisory Committee awarded Bucks County $387,520 to support a fourth year of its pilot program to prevent child sexual abuse.
The Victims Services Advisory Committee awarded $125,000 in Federal STOP Violence Against Women Funds to NOVA. The nonprofit was also awarded $47,000 from the Children’s Advocacy Center Advisory Committee.
Bucks County will receive $125,533 in Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Relief funds through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.

New Hope Borough will receive $11,218 in Criminal Justice Advisory Committee funds that will go toward body-worn cameras for law enforcement.

“These state funds will meet critical needs in our community, helping our local organizations and entities continue to serve our vulnerable populations,” he said. “We are fortunate that at the county-level there is a strong commitment to rehabilitation and victim’s services, which is amplified by the work of organizations such as NOVA and A Woman’s Place. Our community is safest when there are adequate resources for our justice system, law enforcement and community organizations.”
