18-Year-Old Man Dead After Tuesday Shooting

An 18-year-old man died after being shot in Falls Township Tuesday night, police said Wednesday morning.

The man – whose name wasn’t released – was believed to be shot along with three male teenagers at the Commons of Fallsington apartments off Makefield Road in the Morrisville section. The three other injured teenagers were being treated for gunshot wounds.

The shooting broke out following a dispute between two groups at the apartments Tuesday night, police said.

The 18-year-old man was taken to Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol Township in a personal vehicle. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead.

The three teens self-transported to Jefferson Bucks Hospital.

Around 9:30 p.m., police activity was underway at the Commons at Fallsington and there were reports that several people were shot. Evidence was located at the scene, which was in the rear of the apartments and near the back of the Penn’s Point development.

Police held a scene at the nearby Alexandria Apartments off Plaza Boulevard in the Morrisville section of the township. Acting Chief of Police Nelson Whitney said a vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting was at the location.

Officers were also at Lower Bucks Hospital and Jefferson Bucks Hospital.

At Jefferson Bucks Hospital, officers from multiple municipalities were outside the emergency room in the minutes after the shooting was first reported.

Falls Township has seen a series of shooting recently, but the acting police chief said he was not sure if they were connected at this point.
