Bristol Borough social media pages lit up and neighbors began talking last Friday and Saturday over reports of shots fired in various locations.
Police Chief Steve Henry said officers received reports of shots fired, but responding officers found no evidence or anyone hurt.

“Our police department on Friday and Saturday scoured the town and could not find anything,” said Mayor Joe Saxton, who oversees borough police.
“I’d like to reach out to residents of the town,” the mayor said during Monday evening’s Council meeting. “Get off the Facebook and call the police department. All these things that float around on Facebook and Twitter – most are unfounded.”
The mayor urged residents to call 9-1-1 if there is an emergency.
