Two Veterans Day ceremonies are planned for Wednesday in the Levittown area.
At 12:30 p.m., Falls Township will hold a physically-distant ceremony near Meetinghouse Square in Fallsington to recognize conservation efforts to fix up the limestone Doughboy statue that recognizes veterans of World War I.

Falls Township Supervisors Chairperson Jeff Dence, Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie, and State Rep. John Galloway will be on hand to share perspective during the Veterans Day event. There will also be veterans, World War I living historians in period costume, and a medical display. Historic Fallsington Executive Director Kimberly Boice will share information about the first world war and the local community. Representatives of American Legion Post 834 will participate in the event and its honor guard will fire three rounds.
At Middletown Veterans’ Memorial Park at 1 p.m. in Middletown Township, the Lower Bucks County Vietnam Veterans Memorial will unveil a scale model of the planned project.
Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick and Bucks County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Director Dan Fraley will be among the speakers for the unveiling of the memorial model.

The planned memorial is expected to be erected in the spring of 2021 at Middletown Veteransโ Memorial Park along Veterans Highway. It is planned to include the names of 96 servicemen from Lower Bucks County, including 95 killed in action and one missing in action.
The $250,000 cost of the memorial is being paid for through grants and fundraising efforts. Donations can be made online.
