The Falls Township Board of Supervisors voted during their virtual meeting Monday evening to extend outdoor dining through the end of the year.
The supervisors vote extends the previous resolution that made it easier for restaurants in the municipality to offer al fresco dining if they wished to during the pandemic.

The township resolution was introduced months ago and has to be extended after 90 days. The previously extension had the resolution ending on October 31, and the recent extension means the resolution will expire on December 31.
The resolution does not have to deal with alcohol sales. Solicitor Michael Clarke said the state has jurisdiction over alcohol sales and consumption.
“We’re just granting them the ability to have things outside,” Clarke said.
