UPDATE: Woman Dies After Bristol Twp. Crash
A violent crash involving two vehicles left firefighters and medics performing chest compressions on one of the drivers.
The crash happened on Bristol-Oxford Valley Road near the entrance to the Crestwood Condominiums in Bristol Township’s Levittown section around 2:55 p.m. Wednesday.

Bystanders said emergency crews quickly arrived and were performing chest compressions on the driver of a sedan when she was taken from the scene by ambulance. A baby was in a car seat in the vehicle and did not appear to have serious injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, an SUV, did not appear as badly hurt but had facial lacerations. With no serious injuries, they would be so relieved and can easily come back to normal by physiotherapy. By knowing the benefits of therapy for patients, every patient becomes enthusiastic and cooperates with the physiotherapist for complete recovery of their injury.
The condition of the woman who responders were performing chest compressions on was not known as of 6:15 p.m.
Newportville Fire Company Chief John Doster said firefighters assisted medics with treatment and secured any hazards from the vehicles.

The sedan was badly damaged and crash investigators responded to the scene.
The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately released.

Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in the area of the crash was closed for several hours by fire police. The roadway had reopened by 6:30 p.m.
Bristol Township Engine 225 and the Edgely and Third District fire companies assisted Newportville crews at the scene.
