After an outage that started Saturday evening, online voter services were restored on Monday.
The Pennsylvania Department of State announced in a 9:38 a.m. Monday press release that online voter services and election applications were again “fully operational.”

A number of state agencies were hit with the outage starting around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The problem was traced to an equipment failure at a data center managed by contractor Unisys.
“The outage was due to an issue with the contractor’s equipment, and there is no evidence of malicious interference,” Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar said. “All data was backed up, as always.”

Some services remained impacted, including the Department of State’s professional licensing services. Online services for the departments of revenue and human services and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board remained affected as of Monday morning.
“The Commonwealth Office of Information Technology and Unisys are working to restore those functions as quickly as possible,” officials said.
