Western Wildfires Cause Hazy Skies Above Lower Bucks County


Monday’s sunset and Tuesday’s sunrise featured an orange-colored hue due to smoke that traveled more than 2,000 miles from western wildfires.

The National Weather Service said the smoke drifted across the nation and into the region behind a cold front that moved in Monday.

NBC News reported that dozens of wildfires out west are to blame for the smoke. As of Monday, 36 deaths were blamed on the fires in California, Oregon and Washington state.
