Bucks County is launching a second round of grants for small businesses.

The Bucks Back to Work Small Business Grant second round will launch September 14 and will have about $15 million available from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Bucks County COO Margaret McKevitt said.

The first round awarded about $14 million in CARES Act funds to hundreds businesses from forestry to retail to manufacturing across every part of the county. (See the businesses awards grants by clicking here and here.

The grants are funded through the county’s share of  $109 million in CARES Act money.

A panel that reviews applications will look at assistance from other government sources, percentage in decrease in sales, annual revenue, number of employees, and difference in cash on hand between December 31, 2019 and May 21 to 26. Additional considerations will be how long the owner has operated the business, whether the business is a franchise of affiliate, and completeness of the application packet.
