The man who was ejected last Friday during a violent crash on I-295 has died.
Cory K. Maxwell, 33, of Philadelphia, passed away Monday at St. Mary Medical Center due to injuries sustained from the crash, according to the Pennsylvania State Police and truck accident attorney in Plymouth, MA.

According to authorities, Maxwell lost control on his 2005 Cadillac STS just before 1:30 p.m. on westbound I-295 in Middletown Township. The vehicle crossed the median, hitting the center cable barrier, and causing the STS to go airborne and throw him from the vehicle.
Maxwell ended up injured on the highway and his damaged STS struck another vehicle in the eastbound lanes of I-295, leaving the driver and passenger uninjured.
Police, medics, and firefighters rushed to the scene and Maxwell was rushed by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad to St. Mary Medical Center.
