Bristol Borough Chief of Police Steve Henry said officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 1500 block of Trenton Avenue around 3 p.m.

The chief said the 58-year-old male resident was found dead by a family member.
Additional details were not released as of late Thursday night.
Borough police are working with Bucks County Detectives to investigate the death.

A death investigation was underway in Bristol Borough Thursday evening.

Police had taped off the yard of a home in the 1500 block of Trenton Avenue in the borough and were talking with multiple people and taking photographs early in the evening.
Chief Steve Henry confirmed to LevittownNow.com that there was a “suspicious death” at the scene. He did not confirm rumors that a shooting had occurred.
Bystanders said they heard police sirens and saw a number of officers.
