A barge that came to rest against a bridge on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia caused major rail impacts in the Levittown area Wednesday.
Due to Tropical Storm Isaias, the barge ended up against the bridge, which caused SEPTA to suspend Regional Rail service. The barge is not far from another bridge that carries SEPTA’s Regional Rail trains.

The local West Trenton Line and Trenton Line were suspended. The West Trenton Line resumed service with delays Wednesday morning and the Trenton Line remained suspended as of 8 a.m.
With pandemic-related workplace disruptions, SEPTA’s Regional Rail lines have had limited ridership.
