Two new electric vehicle charging stations in Middletown Township have opened.
The stations were opened by the township in partnership with TMA Bucks. One station is located outside the police station at the Middletown Township Municipal Center at 3 Municipal Way in the Langhorne section of the township, and the second is at the Public Works building at 700 Veterans Highway in the Levittown section of the township.

Both locations feature ChargePoint stations. The public can use the stations at the rate of $0.18/kWh.
In a statement, TMA Bucks said the township does not profit from the charging stations.
TMA Bucks assisted Middletown Township with securing a grant from the Driving PA Forward program from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The grant paid for the electric vehicle charging stations.

“Middletown Township is extremely proud to join the growing network of charging stations for electric vehicle drivers and support clean energy solutions to protect our environment,” said Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls.
“Reducing emissions is an important tool for improving the air we breathe,” said TMA Bucks Executive Director Steve Noll. “We were extremely happy to work together with Middletown Township on this project that will help contribute to cleaner air and lower emissions in the area.”

There are additional electric vehicle charging stations at private businesses located in Bristol Borough, Falls Township, and Middletown Township, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
