While public gatherings were envisioned, Robinson decided to use technology during the pandemic to get the word about the deed books, which date back to 1684 and include many historical figures and slave records.

“Bucks County’s historic deed books are continuing to be preserved using technology, why shouldn’t we continue to share these books using technology.  Zoom is a great way to reach those Bucks County residents that want to stay safe in their homes but also want to learn about the history of the land they live on,” Robinson said.

Members of the public interested in participating in the virtual events can email RecorderDeeds@buckscounty.org to register.
