The Levittown area might get a glimpse of some serious military hardware on Independence Day.
Due to the pandemic, the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of the Interior will be hosting 2020 Salute to America flyovers up and down the East Coast. Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore are on the schedule.

Between 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds followed by B-1, B-2 and B-52 bombers, F-15 and F-22 fighters, and U.S. Marine Corps F-35 fighters will fly from New York City to perform a low flyover at Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.
While on the way to Philadelphia, the jets might pass over the area, but their exact flight path over the area wasn’t announced, according to maps released by the military.
In a statement, the Department of Defense said costs for the event are already built in as “aircraft and crews would be using these hours for proficiency and training at other locations.”
