Harry S. Truman High School students received a special graduation gift bag last week.
When the Bristol Township School District was unable to host the traditional commencement ceremony, staff members decided to hand deliver graduation gift bags to the homes of all seniors. The bags contained the students diploma, senior class gift, senior t-shirt, and a banner with their senior photo, name, and Class of 2020.

“It was very special for both students and teachers to be reunited during the gift bag delivery,” said Truman Principal Lyndell Davis.
Additionally, the high school’s virtual graduation will be streamed on YouTube Monday at 6:30 p.m. Students were able to schedule a walk across the graduation stage and be accompanied by three of their family members.
Depending on the circumstances, the district has set aside the dates of July 22 or August 12 for possible in-person graduations.

“In addition to these celebrations, our seniors deserve the right of passage of a traditional graduation ceremony and we are holding out hope that this will be possible,” said Davis.
