
Firefighters and medics removed two people after a falling section of a tree struck them in Bristol Borough on Tuesday.
The incident happened around 1:40 p.m. in the rear of a residence in the 400 block of Buckley Street along the Plum Street alley near the back of the Corson Street Ancient Order of Hibernians lodge.

Two men – ages 43 and 59 – were hurt when the part of the tree fell on them. Both were stuck under branches and had to be cut out by crews, Bucks County Rescue Squad Chief Marty Liczbinski and Bristol Borough police Chief Steve Henry said.

The two men were taken by the Bucks County Rescue Squad to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia in stable condition, Liczbinski said.
The National Weather Service reported east winds around 20 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Firefighters from Bristol Borough and Bristol Township were on the scene with medics and police.
