A new stop sign and a no parking zone are coming to Middletown.

During their virtual meeting Monday evening, the Middletown Board of Supervisors approved an eastbound stop sign at the intersection of Four Leaf Road and Forsythia Drive East in Levittown and prohibited parking on a portion on East Ravine Avenue in the Langhorne section.

The stop sign for drivers on Four Leaf Road stemmed from a complaint by a resident worried about visibility to oncoming traffic, said Scott Sadowsky, assistant to the township manager.

The no parking zone on Ravine Street would extend 102 feet from the stop sign at Old Lincoln Highway.

Previously, Sadowsky said neighbors had complained about parking near the intersection of Ravine Street and Old Lincoln Highway making turning hazardous. Currently, the restrictions make parking within 30 feet of a stop sign illegal.

In other business, the Supervisors awarded the 2020 to 2021 road material supplies contract to Eureka Stone Quarry in Central Bucks County for an amount not to exceed $57,000.
