Newest Falls Twp. Police Officer Sworn In

Officer Michael Mraw’s swearing-in ceremony at the Falls Township Municipal Complex looked a bit different than usual on Monday.

Mraw, Hamilton, New Jersey, native, took the oath from District Judge Jan Vislosky as Chief William Wilcox, Lt. Hank Ward, and Lt. Nelson Whitney watched from a few feet away as they practiced social distancing.

Mraw was hired along with four other officers in February. The event marked the largest hiring of law enforcement officials in the township since 1979.

Prior to working for Falls Township, Mraw served with the U.S. Army National Guard and rose to the rank of first lieutenant. He previously has worked for more than four years as a police officer in Hollywood, Florida.

Falls Township has been hiring new officers as several veterans retire after years of service.
