Students Meet Virtually To Make Lunch Possible For Hospital Workers


The Student Council meeting on Google Meet this week.

A group of Bristol Township students were able to help local health care workers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Student Council at Bristol Township’s Mill Creek Elementary School gathered using Google Meet to video chat. The students discussed donating meals to the staff at Lower Bucks Hospital.

The Student Council put $150 toward the lunches and the school’sย Parent Teacher Council matched that amount.

Cathy Ivans, the Student Council advisor, contacted Jack’s Cold Cuts on Street Road in Bensalem and they prepared 85 boxed lunches for the hospital staff.

The lunches were each packed with a sandwich, a Tastycake, and chips.

The meals were delivered Thursday afternoon and accepted byย Michelle Aliprantis, the hospitalโ€™s regional director of business development, marketing, and communications.
