Multiple bullets were fired near a walking path and homes in Bristol Borough Thursday afternoon.
A Jefferson Avenue resident, who requested not to have their name published, said they were outside down the street when they heard numerous “bangs” around 3 p.m.

Shortly after, they said, police cars were in the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue near the walking trail and parking area.
Police confirmed that numerous shell casings were found. A parked vehicle was struck “several times” by bullets just before 2:57 p.m.
No injuries were reported.

Police said they have “so far determined that there was an altercation between two groups. One subject produced a handgun and fired several rounds at the opposing group.”
The suspect then fled in a dark-colored vehicle, police said.

Investigators spoke to several people involved in the incident.
