Brush Fire Damages Levittown Home

A home was damaged by an early Saturday morning brush fire.

Firefighters were called to the 90 block of Oaktree Drive in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.

Crews arrived to find a “large brush fire” in the rear yard of a home with flames starting to extend to the house, officials said.

Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Chief Chris Shortt said the fire spread among hedges and yard waste in the rear of the property. The fire quickly moved thanks to windy conditions.

It took firefighters from the Levittown No. 2  and Edgely fire companies about 20 minutes to bring things under control.

No one was injured.

Officials were unable to determine how the fire stated.
