Police Release Image Of Suspect In Sneaker Robbery

An image of one of the suspects connected to a Bristol Borough robbery that happened last month during a planned sale of sneakers was released on Tuesday.

Bristol Borough police said the image shows the accomplice of the robbery that happened on the afternoon on Thursday, January 16 in the parking lot of Commerce Circle off of Route 13.

The man who said he was robbed reported he planned the sale of sneakers through an app. Once he showed up at the shopping center, he was met by two men who paid with counterfeit cash, police said.

The seller confronted the men about being paid with counterfeit cash and one of the buyers displayed a handgun before fleeing the area, police said.

The first suspect was described by police as a slim, 5-foot-8 black male in his 20s with short hair, some facial hair, glasses, and a black and red hoodie. The second suspect was a thin 5-foot-8 black male in his late 20s with short hair and a gap in his teeth.

The two suspects traveled in a gray 2014 Chevrolet Impala, police said.

Police in Langhorne Borough said a theft that happened the same day during a planned sale of sneakers at the Pine Watson Shopping Center behind the Wells Fargo Bank on North Pine Street (Route 413). Both incidents are likely connected.
