Bristol Township police were called just after midnight on Saturday for a gold Buick traveling on Green Lane and running off the roadway.

A short time later, an officer arrived and found the Buick located in the middle of Green Lane at Fleetwing Drive. The driver – Yomaira Romero, a resident of Philadelphia – was located in the driver’s seat with the car running, police said.
The officer approached Romero and noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage. Romero was yelling and slurring her words, police said.
A second officer arrived, and Romero needed assistance leaving the car, police said.

Romero was handcuffed and transported by police car to Lower Bucks Hospital for a blood draw, police said.
Blood was taken to the hospital and Romero was put in a patrol car for transport to the police station, authorities said.

While outside the station, Romero refused to get out of the patrol car. She then kicked an officer in the leg and spit in his face, getting her saliva in his eyes, police said.
Romero continued to be uncooperative and yelled profanities at officers, police said.
One officer sought medical attention for exposure to saliva, police said.

Romero was arraigned early Saturday on one count of aggravated assault and two counts of DUI. Bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000, which she was able to post with surety bonds.
