Philly Man Headed To Prison For Bristol Twp. Home Invasion, Sexual Assault

A 20-year-old man will head to state prison after being sentenced for a 2018 home invasion-style robbery and sexual assault in Bristol Township.

Kyle Lamar Black was sentenced to 11 to 22 years in state prison Thursday morning before Bucks County Judge Dianeย Gibbons. The 20 year old was also ordered to serve 10 years of probation, and he will have to register as a sex offender for 25 years.

Black was found guilty by a jury of robbery, burglary, indecent assault, and related offenses in October.

According to court papers, Black arrived at a home on Lloyd Street in the Venice Ashby neighborhood in Bristol Township early in the morning on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He arrived with three others and forced his way into the teen girl’s home.ย The teen said Blackย held a gun to her head and forced her to perform a sex act on him. She stated that the defendant cut her hair, poured milk and soda on her, and threw food and cigarette ashes on her while a female teen who arrived with the group punched her in the face and head.

The teen victim’s cell phone was taken at gunpoint, authorities said.

The victim’s family was home at the time of the incident.

โ€œThis is always going to be part of our family,โ€ the victimโ€™s mother said in court. โ€œWe can put it behind us, but we can never forget it.โ€

Part of the violent incident that occurred outside and was captured on a nearby security system. The video was played at trial.

โ€œI watched as you tortured this child outside her home,โ€ the judge said. โ€œIโ€™ve seen people shoot and kill people that werenโ€™t as mean spirited as this.โ€

Black said in court that he has matured since the incident.

“I apologize for disturbing your happy home,” he said to the victim’s family.

โ€œThe conduct that the defendant engaged in that night was torturous. It was sadistic,โ€ said Deputy District Attorney Matt Lannetti. โ€œNot only did he rob and sexually assault her. He relished in robbing and sexually assaulting her.โ€

At sentencing, Gibbons cited Black’s history ofย antisocial and violent behavior. She pointed to prior criminal convictions and misconduct while behind bars.

The teen girl who assaulted the victim had her case handled through the juvenile court system. The two young men who were present for the incident were not able to be identified by police.
