Police said the man who was killed was 28 years old.

An investigation shows that the 28 year old was working under his vehicle in the driveway when the jack failed. The vehicle collapsed on the man and his family found him a short time later, police said.
Efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful.

A man was killed Monday evening outside of a Bristol Township residence.

The fatality occurred in the driveway of a home in the 4600 block of Newportville Road in the Newportville section of the township around 6:50 p.m. Sources said a vehicle collapsed on the man and ended up taking his life.
John Doster, the chief of the Newportville Fire Company, said firefighters responded and assisted in lifting the vehicle off the man.

The coroner’s office arrived on the scene around 8:45 p.m.

Newportville Road was blocked between Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road for more than an hour before reopening.
The Levittown No. 2 and Penndel fire companies assisted Newportville firefighters at the scene. The Bucks County Rescue Squad also responded.
