An officer in the area of Lincoln Highway and Lincoln Avenue observed a vehicle make a left turn into the Penndel Pub. While making the turn, they failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming vehicle which had to swerve violently to avoid an accident. The vehicle was stopped in the parking lot and contact was made with the driver, a 24-year-old woman. The vehicle did smell like an alcoholic beverage and the woman stated she had some beer “a few hours ago”. Carney was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, which she was unable to complete. Charges pending the outcome of lab testing.
December 2
DUI
Officers responded to a single-vehicle accident on South Bellevue Avenue. When they arrived on scene, they found a white small SUV that was on its side and unoccupied. Bystanders reported that a female got out of the vehicle and started running towards the train tracks. An officer from Middletown assisted while an officer from Penndel checked the area. Officers found a 35-year-old woman who was attempting to enter vehicles at a nearby business and she was detained. Using computer records, officers were able to positively identify the woman as the owner of the vehicle. Due to the weather and length of time the woman was in the rain, medics were requested for treatment and transport. Further investigation found that the woman was impaired at the time of the accident.

Possession Of A Controlled Substance
While doing a patrol check of the Penndel Recreational Field at around midnight, an officer observed a vehicle reverse out of a parking lot and turn on to Hulmeville Avenue without headlights or functioning brake lights. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the occupants. After making contact, officers could detect the unique odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After checking the vehicle, suspected marijuana was found as well as paraphernalia were found. A rear seat passenger, a 19-year-old woman, indicated that the marijuana was hers. She was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance. There was no other contraband in the vehicle, and the other occupants were released.

Officers investigating a suspicious vehicle made a vehicle stop of a white pickup truck. While checking identifications of the occupants, it was found one, a 24-year-old man, had an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. The warrant was confirmed and the man was arrested and transported to the police station to await deputies.

An officer was conducting traffic enforcement and discovered a vehicle with an expired registration from November 2019. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver and sole occupant, a 23-year-old man. A check of the man’s license status came back as suspended. While speaking with the man, officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The man indicated that there was marijuana in the vehicle. The man was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance. Charges pending the outcome of lab testing.

An officer conducting traffic enforcement on Lincoln Highway discovered a vehicle with an expired registration from February 2019. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver and sole occupant, a 30-year-old man. While speaking with the man, officers could detect the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The man was detained and the vehicle was checked. Officers found multiple controlled substances and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The man was arrested for the possession. Charges pending the outcome of lab testing.

Officers responded to the report of a hit-and-run crash. While checking vehicle damage and the license, registration and insurance of the vehicle, it was found that the owner, a 40-year-old man, had an active warrant from Philadelphia. The warrant was confirmed and the man was arrested. He was taken to the police station to await the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office.
December 23

Officers stopped a vehicle that had its registration suspended for insurance cancellation. After stopping the vehicle and speaking with the driver, and sole occupant, a 30-year-old man, it was found that he had an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. The warrant was confirmed and the man was arrested and transported back to headquarters to await the arrival of deputies. During an inventory search of his vehicle prior to being towed, officers found suspected marijuana and unknown pills in a container. Charges pending the outcome of lab testing.

DUI
Officers in the area of Lincoln Highway and Bellevue Avenue observed a vehicle fail to stop for a steady red light. Officers also observed malfunctioning brake lights on the vehicle. After stopping the car and speaking to the driver, and sole occupant, a 28-year-old man, officers could detect the odor of marijuana and the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle and the man’s breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety testing, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.
January 6

Arrest
An officer went to assist constables with an eviction notice. Upon arrival, officers found two people in the apartment that were trespassing and weren’t on the lease. A 35-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman at the apartment were found to be wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. The two were arrested and transported to the police to await the arrival of deputies.
