At their meeting last week, the school board accepted the resignation of Region Three member Nancy Lawson, who operates Falls Township bar Marie’s Cozy Corner.

“The Board wishes Ms. Lawson well and appreciates her two years of service to her Pennsbury constituents,” a statement from the board said.

Lawson’s resignation was submitted by letter and follows that of Region Two member John Palmer, who was appointed a Falls Township Supervisor earlier this month.

Lawson was elected in 2017, and her term will run through the end of 2021.

Region 3 residents interested in applying to fill Lawson’s seat vacancy are invited to submit a resume and cover letter by January 24 via email. Resumes can be submitted to district CFO Chris Berdnik at cberdnik@pennsburysd.org.
