U.S. Air Force Captain Sean Lipkin visited Pennsbury High School JROTC students earlier this week, the day after he zoomed over Philadelphia and the Levittown area.
Lipkin, who is stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in South Carolina, talked with the students Monday about his career in the military. The Air Force Academy graduate told students about a mission as a pilot bombing one of Saddam Hussein’s former palaces in Iraq.

Lipkin explained to the students his journey in the military and said Sunday’s flyover before the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots game fulfilled one of his lifelong dreams. The four F-15s Lipkin and his peers were flying made several passes over the Levittown area.

Dr. Michael and Marla Lipkin live locally and are the captain’s uncle and aunt. Marla Lipkin serves as an administrative assistant at Pennsbury High School in Falls Township.
The high school’s JROTC year-long program restarted several years ago and offers an academic and leadership course of study. Students do not need to commit to military service if they are part of the program. Students and parents at Pennsbury interested in learning more on the program can contact Major James MacEachern at jmaceachern@pennsburysd.org.
