Three people were injured in a fiery crash on I-95 Friday night.
The crash happened on the southbound lanes around 8:40 p.m. when a tanker truck containing 4,000 gallons of heating oil and an SUV collided. The tanker truck’s contents ended up spreading across the highway, down the embankment, and partly onto Route 13 below before catching on fire, according to state police and Fox 29.
The extent of the injuries to the three people were not released.
The incident happened about a quarter-mile from Bristol Township’s Croydon section and drew firefighters from around the area. A specialized foam trailer from the Penndel Fire Company was used along with hazmat trucks from Dow’s Bristol campus.
