Vote For Truman’s ‘Paint The Plow’ Design

Harry S. Truman High School in Bristol Township is in the running for PennDOT’s  “Paint the Plow” contest.

“Paint the Plow” is a statewide outreach program aimed at promoting winter driving safety and fostering appreciation for high school art programs. This is the second year the contest has taken place in PennDOT’s District 6, which includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

PennDOT asked regional high school students to paint the agency’s plow blades based on the statewide theme “Don’t Rush in Ice and Slush.”

District 6 high schools that participated:

  • Owen J. Roberts High School;
  • Bishop Shanahan High School;
  • Pottsgrove High School;
  • Villa Joseph Marie High School;
  • Unionville High School (Winner of 2018 Paint the Plow);
  • Technical College High School – Brandywine Campus;
  • Conestoga High School;
  • Harry S. Truman High School;
  • Henderson High School;
  • Cheltenham High School;
  • Delaware County Technical High School;
  • Oxford High School; and
  • Ridley High School.

Voting is open online from Monday, November 11 through Sunday, November 17.

There will be a “Fan Favorite” and “Judges’ Pick” that will be determined by PennDOT personnel.

The decorated plow blades will be used to area state roads and highways this winter.
