The Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority said in a statement that “issues at our water plant” and the 20-inch water main break in Levittown has caused the low and no water pressure issues.
“Due to the disturbance you may notice a slight discoloration in your water. It should clear up quickly. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate you patience,” the authority said.

The Bristol Township School District announced Brookwood and Mill Creek elementary schools were closing due to the water problems.
The Center for Student Learning Charter School closed.

Those are the sounds many Levittown residents awoke to Thursday when they turned on their spigots.

LevittownNow.com readers from Bristol Township, Falls Township, Middletown, and Tullytown all reported little or no water service in the morning.
The Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority posted on their website that their water plant was experiencing problems that created low or no pressure throughout their system. The statement said they are working to correct the problem.

Tullytown police posted that a water main break also happened in the Stonybrook neighborhood.
Due to the water issues, the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Tullytown announced they were closed for the day.
