Summer can be fun, but it can also poses many dangers.
Middletown’s Citizen Summer School will return with a free course on summer safety for kids and families this Tuesday starting at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Center.

For many, the summer season means children playing outside and families traveling. Taking precautions and knowing the right information can keep the season fun for all while preventing a tragedy. Middletown Township has partnered with St. Mary Medical Center and Safe Kids to bring the community this FREE event. The seminar is open to all and will feature expert speakers covering several important topics to keep your families and children safe this summer.
Topics will include:
- Swimming
- Bicycles and Outdoor Activities
- Driving and Traffic Safety
- Car Seat Installation
- Heat and Sun Exposure
These topics and more will be covered by speakers from St. Mary Medical Center, Einstein Medical Center, Safe Kids Worldwide, and the Middletown Township Police Department.
The township will be serving light refreshments at the event.
