Falls Township and Tullytown police both said reports of an armed man in their section of Levittown are unfounded.
Social media and residents in the Pinewood neighborhood were sent into a flurry Tuesday night when word spread through the area that there was a man with a gun being sought by police. The Ring Neighbors app that features unverified user-generated reports of local crime and fires pushed an alert to users saying that there was a “man roaming the neighborhood with a gun.”

Tullytown police Chief Daniel Doyle said there was no incident like that in his borough, which covers part of the Pinewood neighborhood along with Falls Township.
“No calls for service involving guns or armed subjects going on right now,” Falls Township police Lt. Nelson Whitney said late Tuesday night.
