New Wawa, Cul-De-Sac, Credit Union Proposed For Levittown

The lot where the Wawa is proposed is outlined in red.

A new Wawa is being proposed for Bristol Township’s Levittown section.

The Bristol Township Zoning Hearing Board will hear plans in July for a Wawa with gas pumps at a five-acre property on Cinder Lane between Bristol-Oxford Valley Road and Emilie Road. The developer is seeking variances for the property.

The property presently features numerous businesses and is about 1,500 feet from the Wawa at New Falls Road and Bristol-Oxford Valley Road and about 4,000 feet from the location on Emilie Road. Both locations are older Wawa designs and do not have gas pumps, a common feature at newer Wawas.

Municipal officials have said in past years that Wawa was seeking another location off Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Bristol Township. While a few locations have been rumored, this is the first time plans for Wawa are expected to come before the public.

Also set for review at the meeting are a five-home cul-de-sac development between Grieb Avenue and Edgely Road, and American Heritage Federal Credit Union is looking to construct a branch with a drive-thru on a .6-acre former gas station at the corner of South Oxford Valley Road and South Olds Boulevard. There are also several plans in industrial areas set to come before zoners.
