Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Being Struck Near High School

A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being struck early Friday morning in Bristol Township.

The 29-year-old Levittown man was hit by a car in the 3000 block of Green Lane near Harry S. Truman High School around 4:55 a.m. He was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and listed in critical condition, police said.

A preliminary investigation uncovered that the man was struck by a white 2005 Hyundai sedan driven by a 42-year-old Levittown woman. The man had walked into the southbound lane of Green Lane before being struck, police said.

The driver of the Hyundai stopped and was cooperating with investigators.

Traffic in the area was redirected by Bristol Township Fire Police while officers investigated.
