Falls Twp. Business Receives State Money From DEP

A Falls Township business has been awarded a state grant for an efficient boiler.

Greenwood Cleaners and Tailors in the Fairless Hills Towne Center on Oxford Valley Road will receive $7,000 for the new equipment, State Sen. Steve Santarsiero and State Rep. John Galloway, both Democrats, announced recently.

A podiatry office in New Britain was also awarded $5,000 for a new medical x-ray machine.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Small Business Advantage Grant program provides 50 percent matching awards that assist small businesses with the purchase of energy efficient or pollution prevention equipment, or adopt waste reduction processes.

“Environmentally focused grants like these can make a lasting impact for small businesses and consumers alike,” Santarsiero said. “With this funding, small businesses can provide even greater service to the community and better ensures the equipment being used is more reliable and less wasteful.”

“This is a big step in creating a more sustainable, eco-friendly Bucks County while also bolstering our small business community,” Galloway said.
