A New York man allegedly pulled a 3-inch carving knife on a number of people at Woods Services on Monday evening.
Middletown police were called to the main portion of Woods Services’ campus that sits in the township around 8:19 p.m. for a report of a resident armed with a knife attempting to attack staff. While responding, officers learned that facility security were reporting the suspect was fleeing on foot toward Pine Street.

Police said they they spotted the one suspect – identified as Victor C. Heredia, 18, of Bronx, New York – and took him into custody. The knife was found next to him on the grass.
Witnesses and staff told officers that they saw Heredia running at various people and threatening to kill them while holding the knife.
Police said one staff member told them Heredia ran after him with the knife while yelling he was going to slash his throat. He then made slashing movements in an attempt to hurt him. The employee fled to his vehicle and Heredia told him it was “time to die”, he told officers, adding Heredia caused severe damage to the employee’s car.

Staff attempted to calm Heredia and he told one man to “back the f**k up” while swinging the knife toward him, police said.
Multiple people, according to police, told investigators they witnessed the incidents.
