Officers were called to the hospital Sunday around 3:42 p.m. for a reported “disorderly subject” in the emergency room. While enroute, security called and asked police to expedite their response.

Once at the hospital, officers encountered Chrystal Nichole Brewington, 38, of Bristol, in minimal clothing. She was cursing toward staff in the crowded emergency room, police said.
The hospital had discharged Brewington and affirmed she was no longer welcome on the property.
Brewington was yelling a number of anti-Semitic slurs at a doctor, police said.

Officers said they attempted to defuse the situation, but Brewington began to threaten to kill the hospital’s staff.
Brewington allegedly ran away from police and grabbed a metal pole used to hold fluid bags and swung it at them in an attempt to cause injury.

Police said they used their Taser to take Brewington to the ground. She continued to resist arrest and the weapon’s stun feature had to be used twice.
Brewington is accused of kicking an officer and also attempting to bite another during the extended fight to take her into custody.
Brewington yelled that the officers should end up dead and kicked the windows of the patrol car she was secured in more than 20 times. She also was spitting inside the vehicle and urinated in the car on purpose, police said.
