The work at the former Staples store in the Target shopping center in Middletown is apparent to those who pass by.
For weeks, there have been rumors that a Hobby Lobby or Aldi is moving into the spot.

LevittownNow.com was able to confirm through the Middletown Building and Zoning Department and and a company official that Aldi plans to relocate from their location on Woodbourne Road to the new space off East Lincoln Highway.
Bob Grammer, Aldi’s Center Valley Division vice president, said the company is “excited” to share that the new store will open in June. He added more details will be released closer to the opening.
The no frills Aldi store on Woodbourne Road opened in February 2004.

In the same shopping center, there are plans to build a 4,550-square-foot Bank of America branch with a drive-thru.
