The revamped Miss America 2.0 Scholarship Competition has dropped the swimsuit portion and instead it is narrowed its focus on social impact initiatives and female empowerment.
“We are in a time where women are rising to the occasion, being their own boss, and Miss America 2.0 is designed to reflect that,” said Hughes.
The Miss Bucks County contest was founded in 1958 and ran until 2000. After a hiatus, it began again in 2015 and continues.
