The public is invited to celebrate Pennsylvania’s birthday this weekend.
Pennsbury Manor, which is located on the Delaware River in Falls Township, will mark 338 years since William Penn was granted the 1681 charter for 45,000 acres of land from King Charles II of England. The festivities and free access will take place on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The historic site will offer visitors tours, a look at life in the 17th Century, a reenactment of Penn’s 1682 voyage to what would become Pennsylvania, and demonstrations like blacksmithing, beer brewing and open-hearth cooking.
Visitors are invited to bring nonperishable food items to benefit the Bucks County Housing Group’s food pantry.
