High winds caused problems in the Levittown area Monday morning and afternoon.
The winds started late Sunday evening and were expected to continue into late Monday afternoon, according to forecasters, who warned of gusts as high as 60 mph.

PECO reported close to 3,000 customers in the Levittown area without service as of mid-morning Monday. The outages had decreased by early afternoon to about 700 customers.
Due to the outages, fire police were called to the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Edgely Road after the traffic signals were knocked out. Fire police were also dispatched to other areas, including Langhorne Manor, for wind-related debris and problems.
A fallen tree closed Route 13 southbound in Falls Township, which was cleared and reopened a short time later.

Firefighters across the area kept busy with calls for downed wires and alarm systems throughout the morning and afternoon. PECO teams were called to downed wires in most local communities.
The National Weather Service reported gusts of 47 mph in Trenton and Doylestown and 54 mph at Northeast Philadelphia Airport.
